Some wedding days just feel like pure joy from start to finish — and Cassidy & Zach’s backyard celebration on Saturday, June 27th, 2026 was exactly that.

Hidden in a quiet corner of Cassidy’s aunt’s home, surrounded by trees and gardens, they created the most intentional, faith-filled, botanical woodland day. The weather was perfect — warm, sunny, and golden — as if the sky itself was celebrating with them.

The morning began upstairs with Cassidy and her special girls. Soft laughter, careful hands helping with hair and makeup, flat lays of her beautiful gown (with the most delicate floral details woven right into the fabric), and those quiet, meaningful moments before everything unfolded.

Downstairs, Zach and his groomsmen were already in full form — joking, laughing, and filling the space with easy energy.

Their first touch was quiet and intentional. Standing on opposite sides of a tree in the backyard, not allowed to see each other until the ceremony, they each read their vows with tissues on hand. Just the two of them, a soft moment of recognition before the day fully began.

The ceremony was tucked among the trees with a wooden cross framed in flowers. Their golden retriever, Ophie walked proudly down the aisle, and the whole moment felt deeply rooted in faith and love.

Afterward we lingered for family and newlywed formals (yes, of course the golden retriever was included), then joined everyone under the tent where Cassidy and Zach finally got to snack a little and catch up with friends.

Reception energy was pure fun and completely relaxed. Their first dance, parent dances, a heartfelt speech and blessing over the food, and a buffet that featured everyone’s favorite — different flavored chicken tenders. Later, Cassidy iced Zach (the running joke of the day), and he had to chug his drink.

There were outdoor games, more golden retriever moments, and a dessert table from Brothers Donuts. Zach and Cassidy even shared a donut together — and somehow Cassidy ended up with frosting on her nose. More dancing, more group photos with the people they love, and that easy, joyful feeling that never left the day.

This celebration was everything a backyard wedding should be: relaxed, fun, rooted in faith, and full of botanical woodland charm.
